Residential intensive. Monday 25 April – Sunday 1st May 2022
We will begin at 10 am on a Monday morning, and finish at 2 pm after lunch on Sunday.
This immersive retreat is for AT teachers and third-year trainees. It is also for any trainees and pupils who have worked with me in the last two years, whether on the Online Training course or the Book Study Club course. It is an opportunity to explore all the major themes of the book in more depth – and in person!
In daily fitness work we will discover how even the strongest movement emerges from the vision, breath and the core muscles, so that all your muscles can then engage – bringing stability, strength, mobility and coordination.
We will work outside some of the time, both in the retreat centre grounds and – transport and weather permitting – in the amazing local scenery.
We’ll explore:
- Coming to quiet embodied presence
- Vison and spatial awareness
- Natural breathing
- Exploring the pulls in-depth – their functional anatomy and integration
- Finding the integrated movement that we were evolved to do – both inside and in the landscape
- Embodied speaking and relating
- Putting hands-on with the twelve fundamentals.
- Fitness/yoga session each day, suitable for all fitness levels
- We’ll allow time each evening to take a walk or get to the cliffs or beach before dinner!
